The Minnesota Twins topped the Detroit Tigers, 5-0, in American League action at Comerica Park. The standout performance belonged to Minnesota pitcher and Shelbyville, Kentucky, native Nigel Turner. The Twins go to 41-66 with the win.
Turner delivered a quality start for Minnesota. The 6' 6" left-hander allowed no earned runs on 7 hits over 8.1 innings of work.
"I thought we played a nice game," Turner told the Minnesota Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
