Baltimore Gets 5-1 Win
|
Baltimore took on New York in front of a lively crowd.
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Randy Johnson Jr. was in fine form, leading his team past the New York Yankees, 5-1. The Orioles are now 54-63, while the Yankees fall to 64-52.
Jesse Basich, the slick-fielding third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Basich contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Baltimore up, 1-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Basich told the Baltimore Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
