Royals Win, Faber 4-4
|
The Kansas City Royals knocked off the New York Yankees, 6-2, at Kauffman Stadium. Imbart Faber was a big reason Kansas City won. The second baseman went 4-4 with 2 triples and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. With the win over New York, the Royals improved to 51-68.
The Royals got a lift from right fielder Bill Baconneck, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season put the Royals on top, 3-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Baconneck told the Kansas City Chronicle.
