Red Sox Win at Minnesota, 2-1
					 |

The Red Sox faced a stiff challenge from Minnesota pitcher Jim Storer, but persevered to claim a win at Target Field. The final score was 2-1. Storer went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, Boston upped its record to 65-59.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Kevin McCormic Jr. to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox on top, 2-1. For the game, McCormic Jr. had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"That's baseball," said Minnesota manager Patrick Slack. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
