						Nationals Lose to Marlins, 3-1
					 |

Behind an impressive start by Matt Payne, Miami beat Washington, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Payne, now 5-7. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. John Dinsmore got the save, his 19th in 25 chances.
Miami relied on the bat of Jimmy Groseclose to get the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 2-0. For the game, Groseclose had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Miami skipper Mike Scott.
Miami has a 3-game win streak, while Washington has lost 4 in a row.
