Goof Reaches 2000 Milestone
The box score from yesterday's game will show that Seattle beat the Texas Rangers, 5-1. It will also show that first baseman Floyd-William Goof went 2-for-2 for the Mariners. It will not show, however, that Goof reached the 2000-hit mark for his career.

The 32-year-old Goof reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit."
