Chicago and Cleveland duked it out and the Cubs came out victorious.

Chicago picked up a win at Progressive Field, bumping off the Cleveland Indians, 5-4. Pitcher Randy Budgell was a major reason the Cubs emerged victorious. Budgell got the win, improving to 8-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 6 over 7.1 innings. Budgell allowed 2 runs. George Poirier was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 31 of 34 save opportunities.

Chicago relied on the hitting of Yasuhide Kasahara to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cubs on top, 5-1. For the game, Kasahara had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Kasahara told the Chicago Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."

With the win, Chicago upped its record to 68-58.
