Nationals Earn 7-6 Win Versus Mets
					 |

Jae-ik Soung was instrumental in his team's 7-6 triumph over the New York Mets. The first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Washington Nationals. Washington reliever Travis Plesz got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Chris Thurner was tagged with the loss. The Nationals raised their record to 51-77.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Washington trailing 6-5, Dave Vargas hit a cutter from Chris Thurner for a 2-run home run, giving the Nationals the walk-off win.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Vargas told the Washington Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
