The Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins, 7-3, in American League action at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City pitcher Skyler Webster had a standout performance. Asa Hahn notched his 20th save in 21 chances. Minnesota, at 47-83, has lost 15 straight.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Bill Baconneck barreled up a changeup from Matt Walton. The result was a grand slam home run, putting the Royals in front, 5-0.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Kansas City manager Chris Stephan.
