Tigers Get Past Minnesota for 3-2 Win
					 |

The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Minnesota Twins got a superb performance from pitcher Jim Storer, but the Detroit Tigers still won the game, 3-2. Storer threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs. The winning pitcher was Ryan Sobocinski. His record is now 6-10. The right-hander went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Tigers.
Detroit used the timely hitting of Tyler Davis to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tigers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Detroit manager Jeff Martin.
Detroit now has a 6-game win streak.
