Royals Get 7-5 Win Versus Cleveland
|
Cleveland second baseman Drtian Thaqi had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Thaqi went 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs, even as Kansas City beat the Indians, 7-5. Asa Hahn converted his 21st save in 22 tries. The third-place Royals have won 6 in a row.
Tony Prado had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Royals. Coming up with the bases loaded and Kansas City trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Kansas City manager Chris Stephan.
