						Baltimore Orioles starter Aldo Questi was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Phillies, 9-1. Questi, now 6-10, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The last-place Orioles improved to 60-73.
  Bob Melley, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Melley contributed a 2-run  home run in the top of the second inning to put Baltimore up, 2-0.
