Indians Drop Mariners, 5-4
|
The Cleveland Indians wiggled past the Seattle Mariners, 5-4, at Progressive Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland pitcher Apostolos Tsatsos. Cleveland is 4th in the American League Central Division with a record of 54-90.
The Indians relied on left fielder Hector Pedroso for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Seattle manager Aaron Schiff.
