Mariners Lose By a Run at Cleveland, 4-3
|
The Cleveland Indians topped the Seattle Mariners, 4-3, in American League action at Progressive Field. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Indianapolis, Indiana, native Jon Glenn. Seattle's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Cleveland took a 4-3 lead on Danny Dunham's 22nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Dunham hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher William de Jesus visibly frustrated.
"I was a little disappointed," said Seattle manager Aaron Schiff. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
