Dominant Performance by Nichols in Boston Win
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Houston Astros, 3-0. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Reece Nichols, who played a pivotal role in the win. Guadalupe Vasguez got the save, his 37th in 41 chances. With the win, Boston upped its record to 78-67.

It was a dominating performance from Nichols, who is one of the sport's most highly regarded players, both in the clubhouse and on the field. Nichols, who finished 4th in the AL in wins with 19 in 2040, raised his record to 15-8 with 186 strikeouts.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Nichols said.
