						Orioles Snag 8-4 Win
					 |

Baltimore took on California in front of a lively crowd.
California first baseman Preston Deakyne had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Deakyne went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Baltimore beat the Angels, 8-4. Mark Gehring, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 0.
The most important at-bat for Baltimore came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Robert Handy reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run, putting Baltimore up, 5-4.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Handy told the Baltimore Chronicle.
At 71-79, the Orioles find themselves in last place in the American League East Division.
