Behind the hitting of Jason Woods, the Milwaukee Brewers stopped the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-2. Woods went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Brewers. With the victory, the Brewers record now stands at 74-79.
With Milwaukee leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Woods hit a fastball from Antonio Perez for a bases-clearing double. It was his 19th double of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 6-0.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Woods said after the game.
