Mariners Take Down Rangers, 4-3
The Seattle Mariners took Texas pitcher Wayne Perry's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Safeco Field. The final score had Seattle getting past the Rangers, 4-3. Perry went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 4. With the win, Seattle upped its record to 85-67.

The Mariners were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when second baseman Corey Ottinger turned a 0-1 circle change from Shelby Rich into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Safeco Field denizens and sent the Mariners home with a thrilling 4-3 win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ottinger.
