Phillies Come Up Short at Atlanta, 2-1
|
Atlanta Braves starter Jon Turman pitched a strong game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Turner Field, leading the Braves to victory, 2-1. Atlanta improves to 81-76 with the win. They lead their division by 5½ games.
Atlanta took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Marc Peckermark hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Braves.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Peckermark.
