Cubs Shut Out Pirates, 5-0
Randy Budgell never let the Pirates get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his knuckle curve, to pitch the Cubs to a win, 5-0. Budgell picked up the win for Chicago, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 11-5. Chicago bumps their record to 82-75 with the win.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Wrigley Field seemed to enjoy watching the National League action.

"Randy -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Cubs manager Mergatroid Skittle. "He was the key to us winning."
