Twins Top White Sox, 2-1
|
U.S. Cellular Field was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins.
Chicago got a valiant performance from pitcher Felix Bernal, but it wasn't enough to beat the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota won the game, 2-1. Bernal threw 8.1 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. The Twins raised their record to 59-99.
Hildo Pot, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pot contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Chicago manager Jake Turnbull.
