Cardinals Top Indians, 4-0, Behind Ambrose
|
St. Louis picked up a win at Busch Stadium, toppling the Cleveland Indians, 4-0. Pitcher Josh Ambrose was one of the reasons the Cardinals triumphed. The last-place Cardinals are now 68-92, the Indians 63-97.
Ambrose dominated for St. Louis, raising his record to 5-13. Cleveland hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 6.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Ambrose.
