|
California third baseman Dietmar Warmisch contributed to his team's 6-3 win over the Houston Astros. Warmisch went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Angels. The win belongs to Joe Butler in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mat Pear took the loss for Houston. The loss puts Houston at 2-5.
Javier Trujillo, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Trujillo contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put California up, 2-1.
