White Sox Nip Indians, 6-5
|
Cleveland got a terrific game from designated hitter Danny Dunham. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chicago, 6-5. Dunham went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Zach Ault, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits. The win puts Chicago at 5-2.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Chicago first baseman Dan Lash, facing Ryan Southerland, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the White Sox the 6-5 win.
"This place sure got loud," said Jake Turnbull, the Chicago manager.
