Reds Trounce Brewers, 11-1
|
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 11-1. Leading the way was left fielder Joseph Kirchmann. Kirchmann went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Reds. Curt Stevens got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 6.1 innings. The Reds, now 11-5, have been playing some good baseball.
Cincinnati relied on the hitting of Jon Ledesma to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Reds on top, 2-0. For the game, Ledesma had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Ledesma told a Cincinnati Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
