Big Day for Takita as Cardinals Down Brewers, 5-4
|
No one was more impactful than Tenshou Takita in the 5-4 St. Louis win over Milwaukee. Takita, who led the NL in triples with 14 in 2042, was 4 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 3. Earning his 3rd save for St. Louis was Danny Romero. The Brewers fall to 8-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2046.
St. Louis took a 5-2 lead on Antoine Roux's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Roux hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Milwaukee pitcher Travis Southern shaking his head.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Roux. "I think we showed that here."
