4-2 Win Takes Giants to 11-7
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a sterling performance from pitcher Marcus Wolfe, but the San Francisco Giants still prevailed, 4-2. Wolfe threw 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs. The winning pitcher was Keith Kidd. His record is now 2-1. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Giants. Getting the save was Andrew Kindig, his 6th.
San Francisco used the bat of Henri Cederberg to capture the win. The shortstop jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Giants ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Cederberg, "and then get after it again."
The win gives San Francisco a record of 11-7.
