Lester Pops Two Homers in 12-3 Win for Texas
|
The Texas Rangers powered past the California Angels, 12-3, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Moe Lester went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4, to lead the charge. Texas starter Hector Aguado was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. The defeat makes California 9-12.
Texas used the bat of Jun Tsuda to capture the win. The shortstop jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rangers ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"No time for posing," said Lester. "The next game will be here before you know it."
