Starting pitcher Curt Stevens pitched well enough to help the Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3. Timmy John Aaron-Lee Frank Silveira, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The win puts Cincinnati at 13-8.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Cincinnati trailing 3-2, Dave Barefoot hit a fastball from Brett Rosinsky for a 2-run home run, giving the Reds the walk-off win.
"The house was rockin'," said Barefoot.
