Angels Down Rangers, 5-4
|
The California Angels racked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, bumping off the Texas Rangers, 5-4. Josh Hoeye, who started for California, pitched effectively for his team. The loss has the Rangers at 14-7.
The Angels procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Bjoern Waltersson. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"It was terrific getting this win," Hoeye said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
