Angels Prevail, 5-3, Over Houston
|
California right-hander Ben Sedlacek pitched his team to victory over the Houston Astros at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The final score was 5-3. George Rosario picked up the save, his 2nd. Houston drops to 6-17.
The Astros had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Angels going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old shortstop Mike Harkins came to the plate. Harkins hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 sinker from Houston hurler Brian Thomas. It was Harkins's 2nd home run of the year.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Sedlacek.
