Dominant Performance by Ratcliff in Chicago Win
|
Starting pitcher Adam Ratcliff had a solid game. He was a big reason the Chicago White Sox throttled the Texas Rangers, 3-2. Stanislav Mamatsev earned the save, his 1st. At 16-7, the White Sox have played well so far.
Ratcliff, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, was dealing all game. He kept Texas hitters off-balance, while giving the White Sox 7 quality innings. Ratcliff threw 90 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
Ratcliff said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
