Big Day for Casas as Blue Jays Down Yankees, 9-1
|
In the 9-1 Toronto win over New York, the impact of David Casas was substantial. Casas, who finished 4th in the AL in doubles with 46 in 2044, went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Toronto goes to 13-10.
Toronto took a 7-1 lead on Casas's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Dave Barry in the top of the seventh, propelled Toronto to the win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Casas said after the game.
