San Francisco used a superb performance from starting pitcher Keith Kidd to down the Miami Marlins, 2-1. San Francisco, now 16-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Sean Zielinski contributed a big hit for the Giants. With San Francisco trailing 1-0, he hammered a solo home run.
"The old adage is true," said Kidd. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
