|
Steve Barrett never let the Athletics get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Expos to a win, 3-0. The win puts Montreal at 16-13.
It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Barrett, who tallied 6 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing just 3 hits. Barrett, who is rated as the 22nd best prospect by BNN, goes to 2-2 on the year with 26 strikeouts.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Barrett said.
