5-Hit Barrage by McCoy Thursday, June 14th , 2046 5 times is the charm -- at least for Chris McCoy. The Indianapolis Indians third baseman tore up the Gwinnett Braves to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Coolray Field today. The offensive onslaught from McCoy powered the Indians to a 9-4 win. "McCoy was a tough out today," Gwinnett manager Humberto Miranda said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Chris McCoy singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. McCoy has a .298 average and a .339 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 64 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 19 runs. |
