Cubs Fizzle in 6-0 Loss to Aces Tuesday, July 10th , 2046 It wasn't easy but Nate Machado made it look that way. Machado silenced the Iowa Cubs, 6-0, in a Reno Aces triumph at Principal Park today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Machado said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 1 hit. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." To date this season, Machado has a record of 5 wins and 4 losses and a 3.69 ERA. He has appeared in 16 games and struck out 86 in 100 innings. |
