Chandler Belts 3 HRs Friday, July 27th , 2046 Nick Chandler was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-8 Iowa Cubs triumph at Principal Park today. The 25-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Cubs past the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Chandler told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The third baseman went 3-for-4, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Nick Chandler hit a two-run home run off Bubba Fields in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bubba Fields in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Tye Dickinson in the 8th. This season Chandler has hit at a .178 clip with 38 RBIs, 14 home runs and 26 runs scored. |
