Hits Galore: Cogswell Drills 5 Hits Monday, August 6th , 2046 Walt Cogswell was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar. After the 22-year-old Omaha Storm Chasers center fielder tallied 5 hits in 7 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 8-7 decision to the Norfolk Tides. "That was no fun," Cogswell said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win." Walt Cogswell tripled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 13th. Cogswell is currently hitting at a .290 pace with 17 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
