Akiyama Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, September 12th , 2046 The hot bat of Chiefs shortstop Hisayuki Akiyama continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-3 in today's 4-3 loss to the Bats at Louisville Slugger Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Hisayuki Akiyama flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Akiyama is currently batting .321 with 1 home run and 8 RBIs. |
