Wright at His Best, Whips Sounds Sunday, September 23rd , 2046 Bobby Wright shut down the Nashville Sounds today, blanking them 8-0 on 2 hits, ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Buffalo Bisons pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Wright said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." This year Wright has no saves. In no relief appearances he has tossed 70.1 innings, fanned 70 and given up 21 walks with a 6-2 record. The Buffalo reliever has recorded a 2.05 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .177 when he is on the mound. |
