Red Sox Prevail, as Conference Championship Goes to the Wire Tuesday, October 23rd , 2046 The Pawtucket Red Sox and Buffalo Bisons held nothing back in an entertaining Conference Championship that went the distance. In the end, it will be Pawtucket advancing to the World Series, after a 8-4 triumph in the final game at Coca-Cola Field, to wrap up the series 4-3. The Red Sox players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Bisons. Dan Friess was named series MVP for Pawtucket. For the series, Friess hit .308 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 1 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
