Dawson Gets Award for Relief Work Thursday, November 15th , 2046 Nelson Dawson said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Durham Bulls rising star has won the American League Reliever of the Year for 2046. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.69 ERA over 69.1 innings. He also had 52 saves in 67 relief appearances, 53 strikeouts and only 17 walks. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mario Amore of the Buffalo Bisons finished second in voting, while Jeff Bliss of the Round Rock Express finished third.
