Manatees Come up Short of Playoffs Friday, January 20th , 2045 Members of the Brevard County Manatees are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said starting pitcher Travis Bieberich. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2039.In total, the Manatees have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 29-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Manatees have only made the playoffs once. |
