Modesto-Richmond Free-for-All Gets 4-Game Suspensions Monday, December 25th , 2045 Modesto and Richmond were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 4-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at John Thurman Field. For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Nuts Craig Gomez and the Flying Squirrels Tristan Jones will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served. Gomez on the season is hitting .207 with 1 home run. His stats include 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This season Jones has a 0-0 record with a 8.40 ERA. |
