Championship Series Goes the Distance, Carolina Prevails Monday, February 5th , 2046 The sweet swing of Jae-ik Soung has led his team through the Championship Series. The Carolina Mudcats star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the High Desert Mavericks to advance to the World Series. The Mudcats won the final game at Grainger Stadium by a score of 7-3 and the series 4-3. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Soung. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Soung hit .296 with a .345 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes. |
