2045 Best Player Picked By A
Tuesday, February 27th , 2046
At the age of 23, Jae-ik Soung of the Carolina Mudcats could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2045 was good enough to win the first baseman the A Division Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .320 batting average this year, as well as a .421 on-base percentage. He played 48 games and racked up 56 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 16 home runs, 45 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 30. Andrew Clarke of the High Desert Mavericks finished second in voting, while Jake Milligan of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished third with 3 first place votes.
