Palmowski Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times
Sunday, December 9th , 2046
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Jeff Palmowski can celebrate.
The Lynchburg Hillcats right fielder powered three into the stands at Ed Smith Stadium today against the Inland Empire 66ers.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Palmowski told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."
In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Hillcats toppled Inland Empire by a score of 24-4, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 4 times.
"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Lynchburg manager Edgardo Sandoval said. "He gets the ball up in the air."
Jeff Palmowski struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Aqissiaq Storch in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Josh Klarich in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Malachi Ephron in the 7th and walked in the 7th.
So far this season Palmowski is hitting .302 with 8 home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 43 at-bats and a .333 OBP.
