Santanello Goes 5-for-6 Against Visalia Saturday, December 15th , 2046 Myrtle Beach first baseman Brad Santanello had a big day at Recreation Park today against the Visalia Rawhide. The 21-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Pelicans to a 12-11 triumph over Visalia. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Santanello said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Brad Santanello grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Mulholland in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Bobby Manning in the 10th. In 15 games Santanello is hitting .382 this season with 26 hits, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs, 3 walks, .425 OBP and has scored 11 runs. |
