Mavericks Pitching Ravaged by Mishra Wednesday, December 19th , 2046 It was high-fives all around for Kalidas Mishra at Stater Bros. Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the High Desert Mavericks. Mishra smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 3-2 win. "Kalidas was hitting everything," said Cardinals manager Chris Rowley. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Mavericks manager Michael Conforto told BNN beat writers that Mishra "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Mishra oversleeps next time." Kalidas Mishra hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Davion Jones in the 12th. In 20 games this season Mishra is batting .286 with 18 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 10 runs and driven in 8. |
